THE FUTURE OF BEYOND ROCK MAILORDER !! 2026 will be the final active year for Beyond Rock Mailorder regarding the sale of new CDs. If everything goes according to plan, the website will close towards the end of October. I had originally intended to wrap everything up before the end of September, but that didn`t work out because I was away for a large part of that month. Since things have run over schedule anyway, I’ve decided to give it one last big push, meaning you can still (pre-)order countless new releases over the next four to five weeks. I continued longer than intended primarily to offset various—largely unforeseen—financial setbacks. However, there are all sorts of other things I want and need to do, but I haven`t managed to get around to them—or have barely touched them—during my first year and a half of retirement. Additionally, there are some changes on the horizon; I can`t yet fully gauge how much they will affect (the rest of) my life, but they will certainly have an impact. All this means I simply have to bite the bullet and decide to stop. That said, I do plan to reopen the website early next year to sell second-hand CDs, as I am currently thinning out my own collection and intend to sell those items through the site. DUTCH MUSIC WORKS / THE BAND WAGON !! Dutch Music Works has entered into a partnership with The Band Wagon — a US-based online store specializing in prog rock—and will henceforth operate under this new name. The current website remains unchanged for the time being: store.dutchmusicworks.com (Click the THE BAND WAGON banner in the left-hand column for direct access). You can also regularly find them with their sales stand at the Poppodium Boerderij in Zoetermeer, as well as twice a year at the Mega Record & CD Fair at the Brabanthallen in Den Bosch. Unfortunately, despite their extensive selection, Dutch Music Works / The Band Wagon does not (yet) stock several new titles that I find interesting. For the time being, you can therefore still order some of these from my own website. So, if you don`t see an item at DMW / TBW and my website is open, please check: www.beyondrock.nl (Click on `Beyond Rock Muziek Catalogue` in the left-hand column). However, my stock is small and the selection limited, so please expect slightly longer delivery times if I don`t have the item in stock. Also of particular interest are the various titles with (additional) price reductions on the website. With a few exceptions, these are the last remaining copies, so grab them while you can—once they`re gone, they`re gone!!! |
