Door de Brexit komen titels die uit de UK afkomstig zijn nog altijd
met vertraging binnen. Soms valt het mee en duurt het slechts 2-3
weken, maar het komt helaas ook voor dat we 4 weken of meer moeten
wachten. We doen ons best om alles zo goed en snel mogelijk te
regelen, maar het blijft lastig...

15th September 2023 will see the release of
`Quadrivium`, Nick`s third and most impressive
solo progressive fusion album to date! The album
showcases Nick`s signature ascending guitar lines
with mesmerizing harmonic twists and turning
points imbued with deep emotional expression!
Quadrivium also includes drummer Anika Nilles, who
used to play with Jeff Beck. Anika is one of the
most important and virtuosic drummers in the
modern era. Her sublime musicality and virtuosity
on the drums contribute significantly to Nick`s
compositions. The often telepathic interplay
between Nick`s guitar and Anika`s drumming is
great!
The album also features the virtuoso keyboard
playing of Dave Bainbridge (Lifesigns, DBA, Iona),
once a member of Bill Bruford`s `Earthworks`, and
bassist Tim Harries. SCNmedia`s Caroline Bonnett
plays keyboards, created loops, did the recording,
was responsible for mixing and mastering and co-
produced the album with Nick.
The album features 11 original compositions
written and arranged by Nick Fletcher. Each track
has its own character and title but was conceived
as a whole, hence `Quadrivium Suite`; inspired by
the idea of the four noble arts as mentioned by
the philosopher Plato. These are mathematics,
geometry, music and astronomy.
Quadrivium is a musical journey of virtuosic
musicality in compositions of beautiful, melodic,
rhythmic and harmonic variety! |
