Nieuws MEDEDELING !!

Omschrijving | Almost thirteen years after the last album, the
Fonderia returns with "Dinamo", the band`s fourth
work, anticipated by the singles "Spike", "Mojo
Wire", "Radio Burst".
Born as an improvisation project in the mid-90s,
the Roman band has always been characterized by a
vocation for research and experimentation, mixing
the most diverse styles, timbres and approaches,
in a path of continuous evolution in which each
album represents a stage new and different from
the previous ones.
If the main theme of the previous album "My
Grandmother`s Space Suit" (Biz, 2010), recorded in
the UK in Real World Studios, was "nostalgia for
the future", in "Dinamo" the main suggestions come
from science, from mechanics as from biology: a
scenario dominated by technology in which,
however, chaos and irrationality creep in,
breaking logic and confusing perspectives.
The result is a music that arises from imperious
beats, polyrhythms and articulated structures,
electronic and futuristic sounds, which however
are mixed with vintage echoes, such as a blues
guitar riff or a synth that "sings" a painful 70s
melody, as well as many sounds borrowed from the
80s, but reworked in a completely original key.
In the long period of time that has passed since
the previous work, all the members of the band
have been involved in different musical projects,
and the many experiences gained outside Fonderia
have certainly enriched and influenced the making
of this album.
The album was entirely recorded in Studiosette in
Rome, the group`s headquarters, mixed by Paolo
Pecorelli and mastered by Alessandro Cavallo. The
artwork, created by Emiliano "Stand" Cataldo,
draws inspiration from the geometric and essential
aesthetic that dominated LP covers in the 1980s.
Therefore, a new chapter in the path of Fondaria,
different in sound and in the approach compared to
the previous ones, yet faithful to the
experimental spirit of the beginnings and always
uncompromising.
