MEDEDELING !!
Door de Brexit komen titels die uit de UK afkomstig zijn nog altijd
met vertraging binnen. Soms valt het mee en duurt het slechts 2-3
weken, maar het komt helaas ook voor dat we 4 weken of meer moeten
wachten. We doen ons best om alles zo goed en snel mogelijk te
regelen, maar het blijft lastig...

| Omschrijving | It has always been in the plan for IO Earth to
release an acoustic album, but somehow the timing
was never right. However, with the last 12 months
being quieter than expected, finally, the
opportunity presented itself – and now, they are
excited to present “IO Earth Acoustic: Vol. 1”.
This album is one half re-worked songs from the IO
Earth back catalogue, revisiting fan favourites
such as “Take Me” and “Home” from the debut album
and one half new material, never before released.
The new material includes two beautiful piano solo
pieces, two acoustic guitar-based pieces, as well
as a song called “Streets” which is inspired by
the events of 2020 and will be released with a
music video as soon as the acoustic album goes on
pre-sale.
This album showcases a whole new side of IO Earth.
If you are only familiar with the high energy,
rocking side of the band, prepare yourself for a
big surprise! These pieces are introspective,
understated and very personal. But as always with
Dave & Adam’s writing style, they are completely
rooted in melody and emotion.
IO Earth’s 2020 release “Aura” was acclaimed for
its laid back and less dense style …
Well, this is more of that, but stripped back to
the bare bones! Dave and Adam have always believed
that you can prove a great song is truly great by
taking it all the way down to a handful of
acoustic instruments and still retaining its
energy and emotion. That is what they have done
here.
This is the very soul of IO Earth, exposed for all
to see. |
